FROSTY FLAKES

With the impact of new-fallen snow, five appliqué quilt blocks
cascade down a wall hanging, winter banner, or table runner.
Vivid red background fabrics showcase the white snowflakes in
this weekend project. To prevent the red from showing through
the white appliqués, fuse together two white layers before
cutting out the appliqué pieces.

Quirky stars top off triangular wood trees to finish a

look that’s a little rustic, a little eclectic, and a lot of fun.

Each clean-lined tree shape establishes a foundation for plenty

of creative expression. Use a sharp pencil instead of an artists

brush handle tip to paint the dot patterns. You’ll get more

precise results and defined dots.
