halfway into the 2-inch wooden egg (head)
near the wide end. Dab wood glue onto end
of a skewer and push into the hole; let dry.
Using the same bit, drill four holes for

base. Paint base winter white; let dry.
Drill four holes for legs about^3 ∕ 4 inch
apart into the 2^1 ∕ 2 -inch wooden egg

each piece and insert glued ends into holes
in body; let dry. Dab glue on remaining
skewer ends and insert into base; let dry.
Drill a hole into top of narrow end of

skewer end and insert it into top of body,
leaving about 1^3 ∕ 4 inches of skewer exposed
between body and head for neck; let dry.
Drill hole in top back of body for tail. Drill
a line of four holes^1 ∕ 2 inch apart across the
top back of head for ears and antlers.
Trace ear pattern in Pattern Pack onto
white paper; cut out. Trace two ears onto
brown felt; cut out.
Referring to Antler Template, below, use

small loop, then twist the wire around itself
to secure. Trim 1 inch below lowest loop.

Draw outline of snout with a pencil. Paint
