A horizontal bar chart works well if the category labels are long. Although the data
presented are similar to the simple or stacked bar chart, using the horizontal bar chart
may be selected to better display the labels or for sizing depending on where it will be
displayed. A horizontal bar chart may be chosen over the other types of bar charts to
better tell the story with the data available (Fig. 18.1.10).
