Leaps and bounds

Sometimes you nail the
settings, the focusing and
the exposure... and then the dog
leaps into the most unflattering
position. When photographing a
dog running, shoot in Continuous
drive mode, and try to time your
shots to coincide with its upward
bound. The eye s will be open, ears
laying to the sides of the head and
hopefully the movement will evoke
a smile in the dog’s jowls. Camera
bodies with lower frame rates will
require more precise timing than
those with higher ones.
