grandmother. Chancellor Professor
Emeritus and retired head of photog-
raphy majors at UMass Dartmouth,
where she taught for 35 years and was
named scholar of the year in 2000.
Her artwork has been exhibited in
more than 150 galleries, museums and
universities across 27 states. Received
National Endowment for the Arts
Award and the Albert Nelson Marquis
Lifetime Achievement Award, BFA
from Carnegie Mellon University, and a
Master of Design Studies from Harvard
University. President of the WomenEx-
plore non-profit organization. She is
survived by her son, Mark Fisher (wife
Christine), and her two grandchildren,
Colette and Brett. Visitation will be

her 97th year. Born November 11, 1922
to Thomas J. and Maude (Sweeney) Dil-
lon. Sister of Claire Fitzgerald of Somer-
ville and of the late Raymond Dillon
and Thomas Dillon, Mary Jones, Eileen
Dillon, Patricia O’Neill, Francis Cough-
lin and Dorothy Coleman. Grace was
the beloved wife of James S. Feeney to
whom she gave meticulous, loving care
for thirteen years after he was stroke-
impaired. Grace was a gentle and loving
soul with a beautiful voice who loved
to sing and dance. She could often be
heard attending to household chores
while singing. Grace is also survived
by a number of nieces and nephews
to whom she gave unconditional love
and support in many ways. She will be
sorely missed. Visitation at the George

SOMERVILLE, MA 02144 on Sunday,

Age 71, of Natick, passed away sud-
denly at home on September 17, 2019.
She was born in Natick to Clifford S.
and Louise M. (Kitchen) Firth on May
30, 1948, in Framingham.
She was preceded in death by her
parents, Clifford and Louise (Kitchen)
Firth and step-mother Lucille Goddard.
Lorraine is survived by her husband
and best friend, who were together
over 20 years, Joseph Bibbo of Natick.

Cecil “Pete” Cog-
gins was born in Long
Beach, CA. His father
was a Navy doctor, and Pete spent his
childhood in numerous homes from
Oroville, CA to Washington DC, to high
school in Tsing Tao, China. He attend-
ed Yale (’54) and married Clemency
Chase (“CC”), in 1956. In 1957, their
firstson,Chase,wasborn.Petegradu-
ated from Harvard Medical School in


  1. After internship in medicine at
    MassachusettsGeneralHospitalhe
    joined the Navy, where he was based
    with his family in Cyprus and a second
    son, Daniel, was born in 1960. Pete did
    his residency in Internal Medicine at
    the Stanford University Medical Center,
    and during the family’s four years in
    Palo Alto, a daughter, Christiana, was


born.
Pete and his family moved to Cam-
bridge in 1965, while he had a fellow-
ship in Nephrology at Massachusetts
General Hospital. In 1968, the family
moved to Auburndale, Newton, where
they continue to live. He practiced
internal medicine and nephrology at
MassGeneral Hospital, thenBeacon
Hill Practice, and taught at Harvard
Medical School from 1965 to 2015.
Pete also directed the Health Sciences
and Technology course (Harvard/
MIT) in renal physiology. In his spare
time, Pete loved being outdoors: hik-
ing, camping, sailing, knot-tying, and
problem-solving.
Pete was predeceased by his father,
Cecil Hengy Coggins, his mother,
Dorothy Hammond Coggins, and his
son, Chase Frederick Coggins. He is
survived by his wife of 63 years, son,

Daniel Coggins, daughter, Christa
Coggins (David Franklin); brothers,
John Coggins (Marcia Hadley), and Bill
Coggins (Margaret Coggins); grandchil-
dren Speed Franklin (Trevor Donadt),
Rachel Franklin (Máté Fischer), and
Emily Coggins; and two nieces.
A Memorial Gathering will be held
at a later date. Gifts in Pete’s name can
be made to the Massachusetts General
Hospital Cancer Center.

of Ann M. Huang, and loving father of
Monica P. Wu and Harold C. Huang.
Bernard is also survived by Rowland
Wu (spouse of Monica), and their
children, Preston, Connor, Madison,
and Parker, as well as Kimberly Huang

Dr. Huang was a renowned Cardio-
thoracic Surgeon in the Boston area
and touched the lives of many locally
and internationally.
