when your
off-track
horse gets
heavy in
your hands,
encourage
him to move
forward on
a slightly
longer rein
and lighter
contact.
early in training, do not
become overly concerned
with your horse’s head
position. even if he fi ddles
with the bit or throws his
head, remain soft with
your hands and focus on a
steady, forward rhythm.
