ness (providers yet to be determined). Because our business places us on the road (mobile), a great
deal of the time we will also utilise basic blogs and wikis for internal marketing-related communica-
tion purposes.


  • Hardware. We will utilise smart phones and tablet PCs as sales and marketing tools for conveying


concepts to clients in the field and for internal communications whilst out of the office.


3.3.5 Pricing policy


The standard price of providing recruitment services will be on average $5000 per placement. This figure


is very competitive and if anything slightly below the average fee. However, to help attract additional busi-


ness in the first few months/year, Kevin thinks this is a good strategy. Terms of payment will be 10 working


days (two calendar weeks) and accounts will be tendered on the day that the services are provided.


3.4 Evaluation of marketing


The effectiveness of our marketing strategy will be assessed on a six-monthly basis by analysing fees


data to see what draws the company’s work. For example, if most work is coming from the distribution


of promotional brochures, then this source of promotion will be seen to be effective.


Section 4: Operations


4.1 Legal and licensing requirements


(a) Business name and legal structure


Murphy Recruiting Pty Ltd (Australian Business Number 99 999 999 999) is a proprietary limited


company. The company structure has already been registered and established with three shareholders:
Mart Box (40% shareholding)
Kevin Murphy (40% shareholding)
Tim Brunt (20% shareholding)
who also serve as the directors of the entity.

(b) Operating laws and licences


After checking with the Small Business Development Corporation’s Business Licence Centre, it


appears that no specific licences are needed to operate this business, except for a home-based busi-
ness permit from the City of Brisbane.
