of college when modelling agency Elite

Singapore found me. I worked with

them as a professional model for a few

years. Later, when I came to India for

a holiday, Elite India contacted me.

Since then, I have walked for several

fashion shows and designers, first

among them being industry maestro

Tarun Tahiliani. The turning point for my

career^ was^ a^ project

brands^ that^ I^ worked

with,^ Dior^ watches.

“I wanted to be a part of the

fa shion industry from a very

young age. Needless to say,

Bollywood movies played

a vital role for my inclination

towards the glamorous world.

I started modelling at the age

of 13 with my parents’ support and

there has been no looking back

since. I would say that

I discovered myself as a model,

rather than the other way

round. I won Miss India South

when I was 19 years old, and

was crowned India’s first Miss

Earth in 2010. I did print ads,

editorials, and walked runways for

several top designers, nationally

and internationally. I have also

acted in movies like Yaariyan and

Katti Batti. Last year, I was

presented The First Ladies Award

by president Ram Nath Kovind for

my achievements.”
