THE APPLE WATCH MOVES ONE STEP
CLOSER TO TRUE TIMEPIECE STATUS

Are you feeling a little exhausted yet, at
the thought of all of these products and
services somehow being packed into the
same keynote? Well, Apple CEO Tim Cook and
company weren’t done yet, as – with the new
iPhones also still waiting in the wings – the
Apple Watch was the next popular product line
to receive some update love.


More specifically, we’re talking about what
has been called Apple Watch Series 5, which
especially distinguishes itself with the inclusion
of an always-on display. This feature works by
dimming the screen when the wearer’s wrist is
down, and resuming full brightness when the
watch is raised or tapped – and so intelligently
has it been implemented, that you can still
expect an 18-hour battery life.


Otherwise, the Series 5 iteration sees the Apple
Watch begin to even more closely resemble
a truly timeless, well, timepiece, rather than a
mere to-be-replaced-next-year Apple product
that happens to be able to tell you the time.


This is signaled partly by the fact that you can
now pick from a wider range of materials for
your Apple Watch, including aluminum, stainless
steel, ceramic and an all-new titanium. The
latter metal is lightweight, naturally strong and
resistant to the elements, and you’ll be able to
choose it in its ‘natural’ tone of silver or a much
lower-key – but classy – black finish.


Nonetheless, the prestigious looks of the Series
5 shouldn’t distract you from its other very
