I like to go on vacation to get new
inspiration. Houses, vegetation...
they’re different at every destination.
If I don’t have my sketchbook to
hand, I just take a photo and draw
it later. I don’t really have a special
vacation sketchbook but I’m thinking
of getting one for my next trip.
I made these drawings last summer
on the beach, which is not far from
my home. Even the walk to get there
is beautiful, so I love going as often
as I can. I chose these beach finds
because I like their shapes and their
texture and I couldn’t wait to draw
them. Shape is very important in my
work; it’s what inspires me most.Tip: A drawing is one of the best
