Rnd 11: Using yarn B, 1htr blo in
each st around, sl st to join.
Rnds 12–20: Using yarn B, 1ch,
1htr in each st around, sl st
to join.

MAKE THUMBHOLE
Rnd 21: 1ch, 10htr, 10ch, miss
10 sts, 1htr in next st, htr to
end, sl st to join – 28htr, 10ch,
10 missed sts.
Rnd 22: 1ch, 10htr, 1htr in each
of next 10 ch, htr to end, sl st
to join.
Rnds 23–29: Using yarn B,
1ch, 1htr in each st around,
sl st to join.
Fasten off yarn B.

Rnd 30: Attach yarn A to last st
worked, sl st in each st around,
sl st to join.
Fasten off yarn A.

Attach yarn A to 10 ch made for
the thumb hole, 1ch, sl st in
each st around top and bottom
of thumbhole.

Fasten off. Weave in all ends.

FINGER SNUGS

Make two

With 4mm hook, holding one

strand each of yarn A and B

together make an adjustable ring.

Rnd 1: 8htr in ring, sl st to join,

close ring – 8htr.

Rnd 2: 1ch, 2htr in each st

around, sl st to join – 16htr.

Rnd 3: 1ch, [1htr, 2htr in next st]

to end, sl st to join – 24htr.

Rnd 4: 1ch, [2htr, 2htr in next st]

to end, sl st to join – 32htr.

Rnds 5–13: 1ch, htr around,

sl st to join.

Fasten off.

FINISHING

Whip stitch fi nger snug evenly

to top of Rnd 29 of main mitten,

making sure thumb holes are

facing inwards. Weave in ends.

Sew one button per mitten to

Rnd 11 of main mitten.

To create a loop, attach yarn to

top of adjustable ring made at

start of fi nger snugs, 6ch, sl st

back into ring.

Fasten off and weave

in ends securely.
