KEY SPECIFICATIONS
Mount: Nikon Z mount, Full frame
Focal length: 14-30 mm
Aperture range: f/4-22
Angle of view: 114-72 degrees; 90-50
degrees with DX sensors
Focussing system: Internal focussing
Min. focus distance: 0.28 m (0.92 feet) at all
focal lengths
Diaphragm blades: 7 (rounded)
Filter diameter: 82 mm
Dimensions: Approx. 89 mm max. dia. x 85
mm with lens retracted
Weight: Approx. 495 g with lens hood

controlled; there was a wee-bit barrel
distortion at 14 mm that’s not worth
talking about. (Note that if you use
Adobe Photoshop CC 2019, it has a
built-in lens profile for the 14-30 mm
lens, which will automatically correct
any such distortion.) Corner darkening
with the lens wide open at 14 mm was
negligible, which is a sign of a carefully

designed lens. Overall, very good
performance for such a wide-angle zoom
lens.

Value for Money
The Nikkor Z 14-30 mm f/4 S lens is
available at an MRP of Rs.99,950. At this
price and performance, the lens is good
value for money. |SP
