If you are a serious hiker, there are some
amazing opportunities to explore the
highlands from the peaks of famous
mountains but don’t be discouraged if

you are not into hiking. There are easy
hidden trails around Scotland which
provide some amazing views. This image
was shot on one such trail around Fort

Williams. Our guide was enthusiastic
to show one of her favourite trails. This
small 10-km walk truly harmonised me
with the highlanders’ life.

While Scotland is a year-round
destination, the highlands are best to
visit in summer and autumn when the
colours are beautiful. Nature starts
showing off its mood swings more often
as you travel towards the highlands.
But don’t worry, you are entering the
land of mighty mountains and serene
landscapes. With every mood swing you
are about to experience different vistas
and godly scenes!

Speaking about the islands of Scotland,
there are 790, out of which many are
untouched and pristine. Just imagine
how interesting photographing all
of them would be. Geologically these
islands vary from each other. Some are
mountainous while others are low-lying
regions. Be ready to traverse through
some unexplored, hypnotic scapes on
these islands!

Godly light
of highlands
