Munnar is considered one of the major
hill stations of Kerala, with several
hills, tea plantations, national parks,
rivers and lakes. It has many protected
areas which are home to endemic
and highly endangered species like
the Nilgiri Tahr and the Neelakurinji.
Munnar is famous for medicinal herbs
and its tea plantations. The town is
beautifully designed, with rare flora
and fauna, massive peaks and dams
to make it a perfect destination for
visitors.

HOW TO REACH: The nearest airport
is Cochin International Airport at
Kochi. The closest railway stations to
Munnar are Aluva and Ernakulam. It
takes a maximum of four hours to reach
Munnar via road. KSRTC government
buses are the cheapest option.
