Results from a
recent study that
measured chocolate’s
effect on depressive
symptoms showed
that for participants
who reported eating
dark chocolate in
two 24-hour periods,
the odds of reporting
depressive symptoms
were 70 percent
lower than for those
who didn’t eat it. Two
major reasons behind
this result? Dark
chocolate is high in
flavonoids, which are
anti-inflammatory
antioxidants that
can help inhibit the
onset of depression.
Chocolate also

create a feeling of
