OAP ‘murder’
A MAN has been arrested
on suspicion of murder
after a woman of 71 was
found dead in her home.
Marlene McCabe
suffered “serious head and
facial injuries”, police said.
A 25-year-old believed to
know her was held at the
scene in Blackpool, Lancs,
on Wednesday and was
still in custody yesterday.
Police said: “These are
tragic circumstances.
“While we have made an
arrest, we are continuing
with our inquiries.”
