Goals in this section can be used for those directly
involved in manufacturing or producing physical items.

Quantity


■Produce at least 12 widgets per shift.
■Ensure that the assembly line is not slowed down or
shut down because of your work more than once a
month.
■Help others achieve their production quotas.
■Show progressive increases in output over next six
months.
■Manage supplies so output is not reduced due to lack
of parts.
■Maintain your output per shift within +/-10% of your
average output each month.
■Identify barriers to increased output and work with
management to eliminate.
■Work with the product design team to develop new
products that are easy to assemble quickly.
■Use assembly techniques that do not slow down the
work of others.
■Balance quantity and quality of output to maximize
cost-effectiveness.
■Work safely so no line shutdown is required due to any
unsafe work procedures on your part.
■Ask for help when your processing speed becomes an
impediment to output.
■Proactively seek out and learn new practices and proce-
dures to increase your output.
■Maintain your equipment so there are zero instances of
loss of output due to improper tool maintenance.
