■Identify for layoffs staff members whose loss will affect
work unit production the least.

goal that includes timelines and specifies individual
accountabilities.
■Revise strategic work-unit plan in the event that major
shifts occur in the market, the economy, and/or the
environment.
■Attend annual conferences so as to be able to predict
future trends in the industry.
