Santa key

“I wanted to create a traditional

Christmas design that would

be treasured for years to come.

A stitch like this will take 25-

hours to complete, but will be

enjoyed for a lifetime and beyond."

Shannon Wasilieff, designer

Bright idea

Embellish Santa's cloak with shimmering

seed beads to add an extra touch of

Christmas magic to this design. Attach each

seed bead with a whole cross stitch using

two strands of matching thread. If you're not

confident about adding seed beads to your

stitching, you can watch a tutorial online at

http://www.cross-stitching.com. Then practise on

some scrap aida until you have the hang of it.

Santa picture

“Rich with colour and detail, this traditional scene is ideal for

anyone who is looking for a challenging project to get stuck

into in the lead up to Christmas.”
