Horse heritage
The Dala horse is an iconic image
in Sweden. Traditionally it was a toy
carved from wood, but it's now also
recognised as a symbol for the country.
Its style is characterised by rustic
simplicity, but the colours are anything
but – they're bold and bright!

“It's easy to mount your
stitching onto a card
blank. Simply trim your
aida leaving a two square
border and fray the edges
using tweezers. Back with
white paper, then stick to
patterned paper and trim to
leave a border. Attach this to
the front of your card blank.”
