This sweet little
pussycat has the
softest-looking fur,
which has been
created using a
combination of short
and long backstitch
lines. These angled
lines help to soften
the overall outline of
the cat and add details
to his furry coat.
“I loved designing this wintry
scene, centred around the cat
and the watering can, with
the dear little robin bringing a
splash of colour and another
friendly face to the picture.
To create a focal point in
the distance I added a jolly
snowman to the scene, too."

“To keep your work clean in
between stitching sessions,
remove it from its hoop once
you've finished stitching to
prevent the hoop leaving marks
on the fabric. Roll it up with the
stitches on the inside to protect
from dust and dirt.”
