By Lucie Heaton

1

Find the centre of your

fabric by folding it in

half both horizontally and

vertically. The centre point

is where the two fold lines

meet and make a cross on

the fabric. Follow the arrows

on the chart to find its centre

and start stitching from here,

in the centre of the fabric,

working your way outwards.

2

Complete all the cross

stitch first using two

strands of cotton. Fourteen

different colours of stranded

cotton are used to stitch

these designs, so check the

key as you work to make

sure you're always using the

correct one.

3

Work the backstitch next

  • backstitch is worked

one strand of cotton for these

makes using two different

colours of thread, so check

the key to make sure you are

working correctly.

4

Once you have

completed all the

backstitch, then check over

your finished stitching and

prepare it for making up.
