Stitcher’s guide
This elegant alphabet is
stitched onto 14-count
blue aida using just one
colour of stranded cotton.
It is worked in whole cross
stitch, backstitch and
French knots using two
strands of thread. Each
letter takes an hour or
two to stitch, so we think
stitchers of all abilities will
enjoy working our ABC.
Bright idea
We used a misty
blue aida to give
our alphabet a more
sophisticated edge,
but it would look great
stitched on any colour
fabric. Try pastels for a
pretty touch, or go bold
and bright to let your
letters really stand out.
