Alisson became the inaugural recipient of the
Yachine Trophy – named after legendary Soviet
goalkeeper Lev Yashin – at France Football’s
Ballon d’Or awards night in Paris. The newly-
created accolade goes to the best goalkeeper
in the world with Liverpool’s no1 grateful to
receive the prestigious honour. “I don’t feel
lucky, I feel blessed and grateful,” said the
Brazilian after thanking his family and God. “I
also want to say thank you to my team-mates, to
all the Liverpool staff. Thank you very much.”
