Directly south of the River Liffey from
Penneys’s first Dublin store, and the location
of Primark’s global headquarters today, is
where you’re most likely to find Mona-Lxsa
- when she’s not behind a DJ booth, that is.
The parks in Dublin are the perfect open
space for the 26-year-old and the young
women she works with as part of her
organisation, Gxrl Code, to embrace a little
peace away from the hustle and bustle – “to
clear your head and refocus,” she tells Vogue.
The young women involved in the collective
might all bring something different to the
table, but one thing they do share is a
love of style. “We are definitely inspired
by each other,” Mona-Lxsa says of the
group’s preferred mix of vintage and high
street. “We all have different personalities
that shine through with what we
wear and what we look like.”
