I was(fairly!)gladtotakeon,asI hadbeendoinga seriesof EssentialGuide
articlesforthemagazineoncurvedpiecing,soit wasanopportunitytopractise
whatI waspreaching.It tookquitea whiletogetthetemplatesrightforthe
centrecabledesign,butI thinkit workswellandwouldmakea goodstand-
alonedesignrepeatedasanedge-to-edgepatternwithoutborders.I alsohaveto
thankYaelKaufmanforgenerouslysupplyingmewithallthegorgeousfabrics.
I wanteda blueandcreamcolourschemetoremindmeof theAransweatersmy
mumusedtoknitmydad,andthebeautifulRobertKaufmanCalistarangewas
