“Thisquiltis madeupfromtwobasicblocksalternatedto createa secondary
pattern.Theblocksaroundtheedgearesimplifiedto createa thirdoverall
design.Allthehalf-squaretrianglesaremadeusingfoundationpaperpiecing
templates,whichmaketwelveHSTsin onegoandavoidstheneedfortrimming,
whichcannormallytakequitea while.Theotherelementto thequiltis theuse
of economysquares.So,althoughthequilthasquitea lotof workin it,thereare
onlytwosimpleelementsto master,meaningthatthisquiltcouldbeattempted
bya relativelynewquilter.If youcreateyourownversionof thisquilt,havefun
withthecolourplacementto createa strikingoveralldesign.I usedsomestunning
