Hardly a subdued space as it is, the

William Kent room at the family’s

hotel, The Ritz, was a riot of colour

when Fizzy Barclay hosted a tea to

celebrate 21 years of Janavi cashmere

(and a new collection). Nina Campbell,

Amanda Eliasch and Katharina Flohr

came draped in embroidered, jewel-

bright shawls by Janavi, hand-delivered

to them the day before, and toasted

founder Jyotika Jhalani and Fizzy

herself, on the eve of her 60th birth-

day. It was, as Louisa Parker Bowles

Richard & Patricia Caring put it, ‘fabulously Fizzy.’
