high-quality leather footwear and accessories,

the brand has quickly amassed hosts of loyal,

well-heeled fans and been donned by many a

notable name – from Kit Harington and

Rupert Everett to Charlotte Dujardin, Clare

Balding and Georgia Toffolo. Appealing to

both men and women, the beautifully crafted

collection is reflective of the brand’s country

roots but infused with a contemporary, stylish

Fairfax & Favor has enjoyed incredible

success in six short years. The company was

founded by childhood friends Marcus Fairfax

Fountaine and Felix Favor Parker in 2013, both

of whom put their achievements down to

remaining reactive to customers. ‘We have

listened to our customers and thought about

how they would spend their weekend, what

activities they would undertake and therefore

what they would require from their footwear.

This enables us to create products people will

want, use and cherish – as well as allowing us

to constantly evolve as a brand in terms of our

product offering,’ Favor Parker explains.

The brand is now lead sponsor for the

Rockingham Castle International Horse Trials,

encapsulating its incredibly fast progression – it

was start-up exhibitor at the event just a few

years ago. It also makes admirable charitable

efforts, notably partnering with Breast Cancer

Care and raising over £40,000 in 2018 by

creating a limited edition hot pink suede tassel,

with 100 per cent of the proceeds going to the

charity. This year will see them raising funds

for the charity once again. Overall, it’s a great

British success story with serious style.

West London

Shooting School

It may come as a surprise that the country’s

oldest (and arguably most prestigious) clay

pigeon shooting school is situated only 12

miles from Marble Arch. Established in 1901,

West London Shooting School is home to

some of the best instructors in the country,

making it the perfect place to get anyone back

on target, from a beginner with no experience

to the most experienced shot.

Over 120 acres of shooting grounds, an

on-site restaurant and state-of-the-art rifle

and shotgun facilities make it an unbeatable

spot. There’s a variety of courses to choose

from, including a ‘Young Shots’ programme

especially for 10–17 year olds, as well as courses

for deer stalking and an introduction to rifles.

It’s also an ideal place for entertaining, offering

15 corporate packages from full and half day

shoots to multi-activity days where guests

can enjoy gin tasting, duck herding and fly

fishing – there’s even cannon ball firing thrown

into the mix for the most adventurous.
