GABRIELA PEACOCK IS THE NUTRITIONIST
everyone wants on speed dial. She
is rumoured to be the young royals’
secret weapon, helping Prince Harry
and Princess Eugenie to shine with
vitality at their respective weddings
last year. She has helped James Blunt
embody his lyrics – ‘You’re Beautiful’
- and assists a bevy of High Society
swans as they navigate the choppy
waters of the Season, making sure
they look bright-eyed and serene
amid oceans of champagne.
One of the reasons the model-
turned-nutritionist, who turns 40
this year, is so adored by her well-
connected, discretion-seeking circle
of clients is that she has a grounded
approach, extolling the belief that
there is nothing wrong in indulging
every now and again. Yet turning
up to her Notting Hill townhouse
can be a little unnerving. It’s not
that Gabriela is unwelcoming or
cold – quite the opposite, she is
warm and inviting – but the house,
a white, double-fronted Victorian
mansion where she lives with her
hedge funder husband David Peacock
and their three children, holds a
strange secret. It is packed full of
dead beasts.
A stuffed baboon wearing a
Scaramouche-style Venetian mask
stands guard in the living room,
peering out of the window. As she
opens the door to greet me, Gabriela
laughs: ‘The baboon was David’s
idea and I hate it so much I put a
mask on it – he’s got a weird face,
don’t you think?’ ]
