Cuckoo Clock Project

4 Find the centre of the clock face

and then use a craft knife to cut an

x-shaped hole through the centre of

the stitching and the canvas behind.

Take care not to make the hole too

large and be mindful of your fingers!

5 Taking the clock mechanism,
remove the nut and metal washer.
Insert the shaft of the mechanism
into the hole from the back, then
reattach the washer and nut onto
the front to secure it into place.

6 Attach the hour hand first and
then the minute hand onto the top
part of the shaft. Press each one
down firmly until it’s fixed in place.
Then attach the cover to the end of
the shaft and set the time to finish.

READER PANEL

I would mount
this cuckoo clock on
a piece of panelling
or barn wood for a
rustic, outdoorsy finish
and then hang it in
my bedroom.
