(Darren Dugan) #1
They are killing the fashion
game—and deserve Gigi/Bella-level
recognition for it.

You can’t go five seconds these days
without hearing “inclusive” and “diverse” when
talking about fashion (thank god). But true
inclusivity isn’t just about sizes and races—it’s
about opening up major moments to
m o d e l s w it h dis a b ilit i e s, t o o, like t h e s e f o u r p ro s
who are becoming serious forces in the
industry. Get to know them now before you
see them everywhere later.

Her signature
lewk: “Tomboy-
ish, and I love
mixing high-end
with vintage.”
Why she’s excited
about stilettos:
“Since losing my
legs, I haven’t
worn heels. But I
actually just got
the prosthetic feet
that will allow me
to put them on,
so I’ll definitely
be wearing them
very, very soon. I
can’t wait!”

On her almost
disastrous runway
moment: “When I
did my first show
with Chromat, I
was still learning
about different
prosthetics. I was
using a suction
socket at the time,
and I was, like,
dying because the
Doc Martens I had
on were heavy
and pulling on the
legs as I walked. I
was really nervous
that they would
fall off during the
show and I’d have
to be like, ‘Yo,
golden legs on
the runway!’”

Her fashion crush:
“Designer Rick
Owens. You
always want to
know what he’s
going to do next.
And he’s kind of
crazy with his
shows and the stat-
ues he has in his
stores. But you also
barely see him. I
love the mystery
behind him.”
