Step 17.
Take four sheets of wafer paper and
roughly tear the edges to create an
uneven look. Tear further into roughly
triangular forms – small and larger pieces
will give you options for cool hairstyling!

Step 18.
Lightly brush the centre of each piece
with vodka to soften the wafer paper.

Step 19.
Pinch each piece together and squeeze
together at the base.

Step 20.
Set all the torn pieces aside to dry.

Step 21.
With greaseproof paper on your table,
add white to the colours to increase
opacity. Lightly brush colour on the
edges. Go wild!

Step 22.
Choose two of your favourite coloured
pages. With the darker colour at the
base, slice one page vertically and one
horizontally. Measure it, or don’t, it’s
your call!

Step 23.
Take a strip of uncoloured paper and
tack to a board with glue. Attach the
horizontal cut page in order to the edge
of the glued strip.

Step 24.
Imagine each horizontal strip has a
number from top to bottom: 1, 2, 1, 2,
1, 2, etc. Gently move the 1s to the left
leaving all the 2s to the right. Insert the
first vertical strip.

Step 25.
Return the 1 strips to the right and
move all the 2 strips to the left. Insert
the second vertical strip. Repeat for the
whole page.

Step 26.
To keep the weaving nice and tight so you
won’t see through it, use the tweezers to
carefully move each strip closer together.

Step 27.
When you come to the end of the vertical
strips, you can extend them by attaching
a new page. This page should be cut to
the same widths.

Step 28.
Mark each horizontal attachment with a
spot of edible glue. Conceal all the 1 joins
behind a vertical strip then the 2s behind
the next.
