palette was what she focused on,
not necessarily the clean lines. She
used a frosting comb to pull out the
stripes and then the next day, piped
in alternating colours, which were
then smoothed out with the flat
side of her comb. While the overlap
wasn’t intentional, I think it’s exactly
what sets hers apart in a beautiful
way.

How many members are in your
collaboration and how did you
decide on this group?
The final count on posting day was
278! There was an open signup for
this collaboration. I didn’t want to
exclude anyone who was interested
as it was all about stretching
your skillset. The more that took
advantage of the opportunity, the
better!

Did anything go wrong during the
process?
Not that I’m aware of. People were
quick to get to know each other and
help as needed. I was able to put
together a troubleshooting group
the week before we posted so I could
go over any issues one on one. I
hope it was a smooth experience for
everyone.

If you were to do it again, what
would you do differently?
I would’ve loved to get the
troubleshooting group started
earlier. The original member count
was over 300, but some people
opted to leave because they weren’t
happy with their results. It would
have been great to get problems
out of the way early so everyone
who signed up would’ve been able
to post with the group. First runs
with something new aren’t always
successful but it can be easier (and
more fun!) when you have someone
who can help sort out any issues
you’re having!

If you were to do another
collaboration, how should others
get involved?
I post information about
collaborations in my Stories and
Highlights on Instagram!
