Getting Started
Where mixed media is concerned, almost anything goes. He re,
however, the focus is on two-dimensional mixed-media painting.
The recommendations that follow reflect personal preferences as
well as the essentials.Because the array of media is so large, you may be tempted to
cram too many types into anyone painting. Certainly try everything
eventually-but not all at once! Your techniques will develop best if
you concentrate on just a few materials: a series of paintings using
only tissue paper for texture; another exploring acrylic with ink.
