wood panel.A cradled wood support was first covered with tom pages
from antique Japanese books to create an old-world
base of tones and textures. That was then built up (and
mostly covered) with handmade papers, wood pieces from
old fans. reeds, feathers. linen thread, and other objects.
Papers were affixed with spray glue, heavier objects with
PVA. Acrylic washes were added for warmth and,
occasionally, for color. The piece was finished with
several coats of matte varnish.
