A foam stencil has been used to stamp a
decorative pattern on the right. Another
layer of Ouinacridone Crimson has been
added to the left side.6
A new piece of collage- a geometric
diagram of a sphere-helps to balance
the composition by overlapping some of
the other elements. Yellow Caran d'Ache
wax-oil crayon has been used to highlight the
spaces between the black stripes.5
The black stripes have been continued
with paint farther down the painting. A
glaze of Transparent Yellow Iron Oxide
covers the entire canvas. Quinacridone
Burnt Orange has been added to the Phaistos
