Load a flat bristle brush with heavy-bodied acrylic in a darker
color. With the brush on its side, gently touch the surface of the
raised letters.
Using a different color. add another thin glaze of fluid transpar-
ent acrylic over part of the area. In fact, you can add several
more glazes, but be sure to let each layer dry before you apply
the next.

Provided the paint is not too wet, the letters will appear roughly
painted to emphasize texture. Allow to dry.
Photocopy a messy stencil against a white sheet of paper. The
white letters outlined with splashes of paint can look spectacular.
