Having left Kulusuk by boat we sp ent two

weeks ski touring and climbing summits in

the Schweizerland Alps of East Greenland.

We carried all our food, tents and other

gear in pulks when we moved between

diff erent base camps. These st arted out

weighing about 40kg each and diminished

to about 20kg by the end of the trip. Here,

at sunset, we are on the last st retch of sea

ice on our return back to Kulusuk village.
