This is how much time a UK

doctor claims menopause can be

delayed by with a new procedure.

By freezing ovarian tissue before

the age of 40 and replanting

it at the onset of menopause,

the biological clock will think

it is much younger than it is,

says Professor Simon Fishel, a

pioneering IVF scientist. He says

this will allow women more freedom

with their reproductive health.

POWER
PLANTS

PEACE LILY
A peace lily is a nice leafy
option that requires minimal
care. The plant is known for
its air-purifying qualities;
eliminating toxins as well as
reducing mould spores in the
air. These plants are suitable
for all around the home,
especially the bathroom.

ORCHID
While all plants absorb carbon
dioxide and expel oxygen, few
do so at night. Orchids are
an exception and continue
to improve the air while
you sleep. Another positive
of these plants is their
beautiful fl owers.

Health update

The bene†its of bringing the outdoors in, fascinating studies,
plus a simple substitute for a more nutritious breakfast.

Kiwis have a “she’ll be
right” attitude when it
comes to eye health, a
recent study by Specsavers has
found. One in fi ve Kiwis
admits they did not
seek medical advice
or help when an eye
problem occurred.
Small eye issues
can sometimes
indicate a more
serious condition,
such as glaucoma,
macular degeneration
or even tumours.

Not only are indoor plants
nice to look at, they also
have hidden powers that
can benefi t your health.

LAVENDER
If you have trouble sleeping
or simply struggle to relax,
try a lavender plant in the
bedroom. While lavender
is quite particular, needing
plenty of light, the aroma
is known to be helpful in
treating sleeping issues,
anxiety and depression.
