by Linda McCartney has opened in the UK
for the very fi rst time. On display at the
Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum in
Glasgow, Scotland, the Linda McCartney

Elinchrom’s easily LED
Elinchrom’s latest continuous LED light – the ELM8 – has been
announced. It’s the ‘most portable, powerful and progressive
modular system of its kind’, says the company. The Elinchrom ELM
measures 20.5x9.6x9.6cm and weighs 1.2kg, but has a maximum
power output of 8,000 Lumens/16320 Lux at 1m, via a rechargeable
Li-On battery or mains charger. The UK price is £1,299.

New Benro L bracket launched
Benro’s BLB1 Universal L Bracket, which
keeps your camera’s centre of gravity directly
over your tripod at all times for easy switching
between landscape and portrait format, is now
available for purchase. ‘This is... the sort of thing
you’ll wonder how you ever managed without,’ Benro
claims. The unit is compatible with Arca Swiss-type
quick-release clamps, and is priced £50 inc. VAT.

Laowa fi sheye lens
for Micro Four Thirds
Venus Optics has released the
Laowa 4mm f/2.8 Circular
Fisheye lens (£249) for Micro
Four Thirds systems. This 8mm
equivalent fisheye lens has a
vast 210° angle of view and an
8cm minimum focusing range.
It features seven elements in
six groups, with the company
claiming ‘outstanding sharpness
throughout the frame’.

RPS Science POTY exhibition
The shortlist for the RPS’s Science Photographer of the Year
competition will be exhibited at London’s Science Museum from
7 October until 5 January 2020. The brief was to take a visually
appealing picture that tells a science story either with a camera
or smartphone, and 70 images will be on display. It’s free, but you
need to get a ticket to avoid crowds at peak times. For tickets, see
