10x10cm (4x4in) over st st using
4.5mm needles

CAFETIÈRE COSY
Cast on 65 sts using 4.5mm needles and Yarn A.
Knit 3 rows.

With Yarn A:
Row 1 (RS) Knit.
Row 2 K3, purl to last 3 sts, K3.

With Yarn A and B:
Row 3 (Yarn A) K3, P1, yb, (Yarn B) K1, (Yarn A) yfwd, P1, yb, rep
from to last 3 sts, (Yarn A) K3.
Row 4 (Yarn A) K3, P1, *(Yarn B) yb, K1, yfwd, (Yarn A) P1, rep from

• to last 3 sts, (Yarn A) K3.

With Yarn A only:
Row 5 K3, P1, K1, P1 rep from to last 3 sts, K3.
Row 6 K3, purl to last 3 sts, K3.
Row 7 Knit.
Row 8 As Row 6.

With Yarn A and C:
Row 9 (Yarn A) K3, (Yarn C) K1, (Yarn A) yfwd, P1, yb, (Yarn C) K1,
rep from to last 3 sts, (Yarn A) K3.

Rep these 12 rows until work measures 15cm from cast-on edge,
ending with Row 5.

BUTTONHOLE FLAP
With Yarn A only:
Row 1 Cast on 5 sts, knit to end.
Row 2 Knit to last 4 sts, k2tog, yo, K2.
Row 3 Knit.
Cast off.

MAKING UP

Darn in ends and block to measurements, referring to the ball band

for full care instructions. Attach button to correspond with

buttonhole, this will close over the top of the handle of the cafetière.

Overlap the cast-on edge, in the same direction as the button

fastening and slip stitch to close the cover below the handle.
