THE U.S. WOMEN’S SOCCER TEAM

Photographer Cait Oppermann is such a fan of the U.S. women’s
soccer team that she has a tattoo on her wrist inspired by their
World Cup wins. The squad photo was taken on Nov. 4 at a
vintage vault in Columbus, Ohio, where the team was training.
The former bank, now an event space, still functioned as an
allusion to the team’s fight for equal pay.

BOB IGER

Neither the Disney chairman and CEO nor Peter Hapak is a
stranger to TIME. Iger has been covered in at least a half-dozen
features since 2007, and the Hungary-born photographer is a
mainstay. Here, Hapak retouches images from the shoot at the
New York City studios of ABC Television, a Disney company.

LIZZO

Photographer Paola Kudacki, who shot the covers for the 2014
TIME 100, says of TIME’s Entertainer of the Year, “She trusted
my vision, which enabled us to work freely, to have fun and
explore on set.” Lizzo left the shoot exclaiming, “Call me!” to
everyone in the room and made her way to the 106.1 KISS FM
Jingle Ball in Fort Worth, where she performed that night.

THE PUBLIC SERVANTS

Chicago-based artist Jason Seiler, who did character design on
Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, spent more than 50 hours
drawing on a Wacom Cintiq, an interactive LCD screen, to bring
together prominent witnesses from the House Intelligence
Committee impeachment hearings. “I am aware that it looks photo
real,” he says, “but when viewed up close, it’s actually painterly.”
