WHISTLE-BLOWER
U.K.-based paper-sculpture artist Su Blackwell spent
four days handcrafting the artwork that opens our story.
With a surgeon’s scalpel blade, precision tweezers, a
cutting mat and glue, the White House was fashioned
entirely from the whistle-blower’s transcript. “My
intention,” says Blackwell, who has exhibited worldwide,
“was to portray the subject’s fragility, expressed by the
translucent quality of the A4 copy paper.”
