Joanna
Manousis
British-born artist Joanna
Manousis has elevated glass to fine
art. Her signature methods are
evident in her “Parr Diamonds”
installation. Inspired by St. Mary’s
Church at Sudeley Castle, the wall
display employs cast crystal, glass,
stainless steel, and oil paint to
achieve a delicate design that tricks
the eye. (toddmerrillstudio.com)

MCALPINE
FOR LEE INDUSTRIES
Known for his sumptuous and supremely
handsome interiors, architect Bobby
McAlpine has set the bar high with his new
McAlpine Home collection for Lee
Industries. “My intent was to create a cast
of characters or best supporting actors,
allowing designers to use them over and
over again,” McAlpine says. The “1981-01”
dining chair with vented barrel back, he
says, “is the kind of chair you’d want your
portrait done in.” (leeindustries.com)
Lori Weitzner FOR ARTISTIC TILE
Drawing on her command of textile design techniques, such as pleating, origami, and voided velvet,
Lori Weitzner has teamed with Artistic Tile to create a new line of surfacing. “River,” above, and a
complementary design, “Forest,” convey a fabric-like eff ect using etched detail on natural stone. “My
design style is very tactile,” Weitzner says. “I don’t just want people to look at a product. I want people
to experience it.” (artistictile.com)
