A secure remote monitoring and main-
tenance package is reducing site visits,
more efficiently helping with commis-
sioning and improving the response time
for trouble-shooting of high pressure hy-
draulic and pneumatic systems.
Maximator is a leading manufacturer and
supplier of pumps and boosters, valves,
fittings and tubing for high pressure gas
and fluids. Its UK subsidiary also assem-
bles these components into advanced
and specialist testing, pressure and con-
trol systems. It saw an opportunity to ex-
tend its long-standing working relation-
ship with industrial automation specialist
B&R, by integrating the Secure Remote
Maintenance service into some of its
specialist machines and systems. Max-
imator UK can now remotely access its
installed base of machines and view the
customer’s HMI in order to support and
guide them through production tasks or
to provide programming and diagnos-
tics of the software.
Before Secure Remote Maintenance,
Maximator UK’s engineers would need
to travel extensively to customer sites,
so they could witness first-hand how
they were interacting with the machine,
explain any operating procedures during
commissioning or fix small oversights
that the customer may have incurred.
Furthermore, once the machine is op-
erational, customers often want to add
functionality to further automate their
process, such as when they discover
a production bottleneck, or someone
needs to undertake a repetitive task.
This often entails writing software. To
keep costs to a minimum, Maximator
UK’s engineers can now remotely ac-
