How has business been so far this year?
Really healthy. Our fi nancial year runs from
April to April and we closed at the end of March
around 18% over target for the year and when
you consider our target was an ambitious 25%
revenue growth it feels like a fabulous year.
2014/2015 has started in much the same way
with an outstanding April and steady May.
What are your bestselling styles?

We have stand-out best-sellers in each collection
and they cover almost every different shape
imaginable. Fit and fl are and fi shtail styles
are always popular with our brides and there
has been a big demand for unstructured softer
silhouettes lately too.
What is the average price of dresses sold?
At the moment our average gown sale before
accessories is around £1,400 but our prices
range from £900 to £3,600.
What are the most in-demand styles and
fabrics?
Defi nitely lace is still strong though brides
are being brave enough to move away from it
now and consider other fabrics on the rails.
Silk organza is big at the moment, as is soft
tulle and for the slinky dresses crepe is a sure
winner but it must be heavy enough to not be
see through.
Which are the most popular colours and
styles at the moment for bridesmaid dresses?
We stock Jim Hjelm Occasions bridesmaids.
They are really fab dresses in plenty of colours.
Coral, blush, navy, plum and black are all
popular choices at the moment and girls are
opting to dress their bridesmaids in the same
colour but different styles, which is a lovely way
to ensure everyone still feels§ individual.
How are you feeling about the year ahead?
We have set ourselves healthy growth targets
for this year and we are moving to seven-day
weeks to accommodate demand. We have taken
on another staff member and two amazing
British designers [Suzanne Neville and Sassi
Holford] so we are all set to have another record-
breaking year.

What is the most in-demand style?
Lace fi shtail dresses.

Which are the most popular colours
and styles at the moment for
bridesmaid dresses?
Pastel colours.

How confi dent are you feeling about
the rest of the year?
F a i rly.
