One of the key trends fi ltering through
for the year ahead is the use of contrasting
fabrics and many labels have decided to use
a mixture of materials on dresses. Diane
Harbridge, for example, combines a satin
bust with lace skirting on some gowns,
while on other pieces organza is layered with
embellished opaque fabrics.
Eternity’s bridal range too utilises a
combination of materials. Standout dresses
include sweetheart gowns with lace sleeves as
well as slim-fi tting lace dresses with striking
tulle fi shtails. On the colour front the brand
has gone all out with a ruby red satin winner, a
sumptuous eye-catcher for any shop window.
Impression Bridal has too been brave and
injected a touch of colour into its collection.
Alongside classic ivory the label has infused
pinky blush tones, Champagne and latte.
Also under the Impression umbrella Destiny
Informal has slinky silk dresses with cowl
backs alongside wide-legged jumpsuits that
could easily have come straight from the 60s.
On the other hand, Cristiano Lucci will appeal
to those looking for something a little more
fi gure hugging with its body-skimming styles
and fl ared and fi shtail skirting. Davinci’s new
collection will provide added sparkle.
