The CT6 is athletic and lively to drive. While the ride is firm, the
CT6 is steady and controlled, and the interior is very quiet. The base
engine is a turbocharged four-cylinder, but most buyers will opt for
the midlevel nonturbo V6. All-wheel drive is standard on versions
with a V6 or V8 engine. The interior is plush and roomy, but in-cabin
storage is practically nonexistent. Front-seat comfort is superb, but
the rear seat is short on thigh support. The CT6’s Super Cruise driver
assistance system operates on freeways and monitors the driver to
make sure he or she is paying attention. New for 2019, the V model

Much worse than average 01Cadillac CT5
Although the Cadillac CT5 is expected to replace the CTS midsized
luxury sedan, it’s actually designed to go head-to head with the BMW
3 Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class, which are in a smaller class.
That explains why the CT5 is a hint shorter than the CTS, but about
two inches wider. The CT5 will come with a 2.0-liter turbocharged
four-cylinder engine and an uplevel 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6
will be available. All engines are paired with a 10-speed automatic
transmission. The Michigan-built sedan will be offered in rear- and
all-wheel drive. Standard systems include forward collision warning,
low-speed automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection,
and a safety alert seat that ties in with a driver attention monitor.
The Super Cruise advanced driver-assist system and higher-perfor-
mance CT5-V will be added some time after its launch in fall 2019.
