T

he Ford scene is blessed with an

absolutely fantastic show scene;

much better, bigger, and more

enthusiastic than any other car following in

the country. There’s barely a single weekend

during the summer months when there’s

not an awesome Ford-based event on

somewhere, giving dedicated and

SDVVLRQDWHRZQHUVWKHFKDQFHWRVKRZR΍

their beloved Blue Oval in all its glory.

But, with so many fast and frantic events

taking place these days, some may argue

that we’ve stepped away from the core

ethos of what car shows always used to be

about – meeting up with a bunch of fellow

Ford fans to enjoy a relaxed and chilled

GD\RXWVKRZLQJR΍\RXUSULGHDQGMR\LQD

pressure-free environment.

Well, that’s exactly what Ultimate Ford

Show is all about. Launched as an antidote

to the hustle and bustle of track-based

events, UFS is designed to bring back the

good old days of showing, shining, and

simply chilling out among like-minded

enthusiasts.

With such an old-school spirit, it’s perhaps

not surprising to see Ultimate Ford Show

attract some of the classic Blue Oval owners

as well as the more modern and mixed clubs

and an eclectic mix of all models on display.

The XR Owners Club even used the event

to host their famed ‘National Day’ meeting,

while displays from clubs such as the RSOC,

Mk1 Focus RS Owners Club, Beds RSOC,

Northants RSOC, and Oval Owners all

ensured there was an excellent and diverse

GLVSOD\RI)RUGȇVȴQHVWRQVKRZ

Although it was a very laid-back and

relaxed event, that’s not to say there

wasn’t anything going on throughout the

day; many groups had their own on-stand

competitions for the best cars on show,

the local Fire Brigade hosted an RTA

demonstration (watching the roof being

FXWR΍D9DX[KDOOLVDOZD\VDZLQQHUDW)RUG

show!) and all cars were invited to enter the

Show and Shine competition too.

With a summer schedule packed full of

perfect environment to chill and unwind...
